Reading Buddies and Good Dogs
Reading Buddies
Tuesday evenings during the summer, a canine reading buddy visits the Library to listen to children who would like to read to him. Besides being fantastic listeners, our visiting dogs love any and all attention children visiting the Library give them. This is a drop in program and does not require an appointment or registration.
Good Dog
Good Dog is a highly regarded program that pairs a child with a reading team (a dog and owner) to promote the enjoyment of books and reading. Teams meet at the library for private sessions on a scheduled basis. This is a program that requires the interested parent to contact the library regarding the availability of reading teams in the area. Call 860-364-5041 for more information.
