PROGRAMS  FOR CHILDREN

Mother Goose Story Time

The Hotchkiss Library of Sharon has recently begun a story time for very young children, ages 6 months - 2 1/2 years.  "Mother Goose Story Time" is held every Friday morning at 10:30 AM at the Hotchkiss Library in Sharon.  This program consists of books and stories for very young children, as well as nursery rhymes, finger plays, and other activities which encourage audience participation.  Story Hour for older children, ages 3 - 5 years, continues to be held on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 AM.  For further information or to register for either of these Story Times, please phone the library at:  (860) 364-5041.

FABULOUS FIRST FRIDAYS
The Hotchkiss Library of Sharon is starting a program on the first Friday of each month for students in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades.  This group will meet at the library after school, from 3:30 - 4:30 pm, and will be involved in many different types of activities.  I am planning a number of various craft activities, but many of the group's activities will be decided upon by the students who have registered for this program.

Because the number of students who may enroll in this program is limited, due to space constraints in the library, early registration is encouraged.  There is no charge for this program or for any of the craft activities.  Snacks will be provided for the students as they arrive from school, on each Fabulous First Friday.
